    He was involved in Baxter Springs Massacre in Kansas on October 6, 1863 along his group about over 120 dead by Quantrill's Guerrillas (includes Jesse James and his brother Frank James). Stephen V. Gallea's General was James Blunt escaped from massacre. Massacre at Baxter Springs by Thomas Smith and it said 11 people died from Outagamie County WI at Baxter Springs.
