Snow, Mary F. AppletonAge 77, died Thursday, August 8, 2002, at Prairie Home, Menasha, after a l ingering illness. Mary was born on April 7, 1925, in Minneapolis, Minnesot a, to the late Louis and Clare (O'Keefe) Floerkey. She married Irving Sn ow on April 19, 1947, in Minneapolis. He preceded her in death on Septemb er 19,2001. Mary's family was the light of her life; she was a loving wif e, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary served her count ry as a Yeoman 2nd Class in the United States Navy during WWII. She operat ed, with her husband Irv, Snow's Restaurant in Appleton. She was an Admitt ing Clerk at Appleton Medical Center for over 20 years. Mary enjoyed a var iety of activities including fishing, cooking and playing bridge, but h er illness altered her active life style.Survivors include her daughters, Paula (Bill) Keimel, Madison, and Mars ha Snow, Appleton; her sons, Steven (Sandi) Snow, Town of Menasha, and Jo hn (Mary Jo) Snow, Onalaska; her grandchildren, Melissa (fiance Marcus), A lison and Karen Keimel, Chad Nackers (friend Alicia),Tim Snow (friend Tric ia), Jason Grebe, Julie (Allen) Last and Shanen (Pete) Paremski, Alyssa a nd Christopher Snow, her great-grandchildren, Megan and Aiden Last and Em ma Paremski; her sister, Eileen Ahlquist, Minnesota; her former son-in-la w, Gene Nackers, Neenah; and many nieces and nephews. She was preced ed in death by her sisters, Jean Widstrom and Paula Blubaugh and her broth er, Louis Floerkey, Jr.The viewing and celebration of Mary's life will be held Monday, August 1 2, 2002, from 4 p.m.until the services at 7:00 p.m. at the WICHMANN FUNER AL HOME-TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 South Oneida Street, Menasha.A memorial has been established in her name to benefit the Deacon's Progr am at St. Therese Catholic Church. The family would like to extend a since re thank you to the staff at Prairie Home Elder Services, Affinity Hospi ce and Deacon Patrick Whitcomb for their loving care.
