    Gertrude Catherine Jacobson, 83, of Rice Lake died Saturday, September 25, 2010 at home. She was born April 17, 1927 in Rice Lake, WI to Herman and Gertrude (Willger) Richter. Gert lived in Rice Lake her entire life. She attended and graduated from St. Joseph School. She was married in Rice Lake, WI on October 23, 1943 to Svend Jacobson. She raised her family, and worked for many years in the office of the family business, Automotive Rebuilders. Svend preceded her in death on Friday, September 24, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Agnes Hegenbarth, and George, Ed, Joseph, Norbert, Martin and Clarence Richter. Gertrude joined the Women of the Moose Chapter 725 in December of 1958 and has been a member since then. She earned the degrees of Friendship, Star Recorder and College of Regents. She enjoyed crafting, hand-crocheting doilies, slippers and more. Gert and Svend made many quilts and gave them to others. She is survived by: 5 children; Jeanette Galoski of Hiram, GA; Judy Jacobs of Little Canada, MN; JoAnn (Bill) Lammers of Rice Lake; James (Diane) Jacobson of Rice Lake; John (Angela) Jacobson of Newport, MN; 10 grandchildren; Kathy (Doug) Smick, Joey (Charlene) Galoski, Andy (Beth) Galoski, Jen Rufledt, Karen (Russ) Grundy, Michelle (Cole) Inks, Leslie Jacobson, Matthew (Amy) Jacobson, Amber Jacobson, Heidi (Josh) Baruth; 13 great-grandchildren; Chip, Jennifer, Brandon, Athena, Nicholas, Nicole, Calin, Ethan, Kylie, Alex, Lilly, Edward, Theodore; 2 sisters: Theresa (Chuck) Levenhagen of Eau Claire, WI and Catherine Walstrom of Spooner; 1 brother; Herb (Violet) Richter of Rice Lake. A joint Funeral Mass for Svend and Gert will be held at 11:30 AM; Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Rice Lake with Father Dave Oberts officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery - Rice Lake. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM, Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Skinner Funeral Home - Rice Lake and for 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
