    Hietpas, Gertrude M.Gertrude M. Hietpas, Kaukauna, age 95, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 20 04 at the Appleton Medical Center. Gert was born in Kaukauna on April 1 8, 1909, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Kortz) Timmers. On May 1 8, 1931, Gert married John A. Hietpas at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kauka una; he preceded her in death in 1984. For nearly twenty-five years, the c ouple operated a dairy farm in the town of Vandenbroek, and in 1955 mov ed into Kaukauna. Gert was a longtime and faithful member of Holy Cross wh ere she was a member of the Ladies of Holy Cross. John and Gert both enjoy ed fishing and playing cards. Gert also knitted and crocheted.Survivors include four children: Roger (Lucille) Hietpas of Combined Lock s; Joyce Smith of Neenah; Melvin (Grace) Hietpas of Darboy; Marvin (Imeld a) Hietpas of Kaukauna; a daughter-in-law: Nancy Hietpas of Little Chut e; thirty grandchildren; sixty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great -grandchildren; two sisters: Rosella Weyers of Neenah and Dorothy Siebe rs of Little Chute; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Timmers of Kaukauna; as we ll as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Gert was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 1984, a s on Nicholas O.     Weyers, Rosella H. "Sally" - Rosella Weyers, 97, Neenah, died peacefully Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at her home at Villa St. Clare. She was born Nov. 1, 1910, in Kaukauna, daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Kortz) Timmers. Sally married Henry N. Weyers on Nov. 23, 1931, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kaukauna, and he preceded her in death May 10, 1995. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah. Sally was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed golfing, playing cards and reading. She, her sisters and sisters-in-law "the knitpickers" enjoyed getting together to knit, crochet and do crafts.
    Mrs. Weyers is survived by her children, Ruth Pleshek, Oconto; Eunice (Robert) Becker, Greenville; Dee (Donald "Doc") Mosher, Neenah; Betty (Tom) Schoenberger, Oshkosh; Peg Draves, Neenah; and Hank (Judy) Weyers, Oshkosh; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Siebers, Little Chute; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Timmers, Kaukauna; and Agnes Weyers, Appleton.
    She was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Roger Pleshek and Charlie Draves; two grandchildren, Debbie Schwartz and Bob Schoenberger; and a great-grandson, Christopher Lampe-Smick. On the Timmers side by four brothers, three sisters-in-law, three sisters and four brothers-in-law, and on the Weyers side by eight brothers-in-law and eight sisters-in-law.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at St. Margaret Mary Church, 610 Division Street, Neenah, with Rev. David Koch officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum, Neenah. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass. A memorial has been established.
    The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Villa St. Clare for their exceptional care and compassion for mom.

    Dorothy "Dot" Siebers nee Timmers, 97, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Paul Home.
    Dorothy was born on May 4, 1919 to Nicholas and Mary (Korty) Timmers. On October 24, 1948 she was united in marriage to Marvin Siebers and they spent 44 wonderful years. Together they adopted two children then six and 14 months and were wonderful and loving parents. Dot was devote in her faith, never prideful, led by example and preferred to work quietly in the back ground drawing no attention to herself. She was an active member of Holy Cross Parish and School in Kaukauna, over the years she was a member of the Christian Women, did bookwork for the school office, worked in the library, sang in the Queen of Peace Choir, was part of their prayer chain and volunteered at a homeless shelter. Dot was a Knights of Columbus Lady, part of the Foresters Investment group and was honored for donating 17 gallons of blood to the Red Cross. She loved sports, playing basketball in high school, bowling and golfing in women's and couples leagues with her husband. Dot challenged herself throughout her life with her own dark room, learning to play slide guitar, sewing items from her swimsuits to suits for herself with a matching tie for her husband. She was a meticulous bookkeeper and earned her certificate in tax preparation form Appleton Technical School. She loved to knit and crochet, making countless afghans, sweaters, baby blankets for church and loved crafting with a family group called the "Knit Pickers".
    Dorothy is survived by her children; Thomas Siebers, Kaukauna, and Patricia (Steven) Varick, Racine, grandchildren; Douglas Siebers, Andrea (Nate) Ortleib, Gregory Siebers, Nicholas Siebers, Lauren Sroka and Amy (Cameron) Schubert. She is further survived by great grandchildren; Ariana, Evelyn Emmett and Audrina, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.     The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL, ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W. 7th St. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.     The family would like to thank Dorothy's family and friends who were always faithful visitors and especially while she lived at the Golden Venture apartments in Kaukauna as well as the special ladies from Right At Home who's help kept her as independent as possible.     LeRoy John Bast, age 82, of Little Chute, passed away surrounded by loving family and friends on January 1, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center.
    He was born on March 15, 1931, the son of the late John and Ella (Timmers) Bast. He went to grade school in Mackville and graduated from Seymour High School in 1949. He and Betty M. Van Asten met at a dance at The Nightingale and were married on September 29, 1951 at St. John's Catholic Church in Little Chute.
    LeRoy worked for Badger Cooperative, which merged with Morning Glory Farms in 1986, for more than 40 years and retired in 1993. In retirement, he volunteered for Meals on Wheels and could often be seen at Walmart grilling brats and hamburgers for the Knights of Columbus and cooking breakfast at Little Chute's Kermis festival. He also was an active member of the Heart of the Valley Senior Service Club and Holy Spirit Parish, Kimberly.
    LeRoy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty; his sisters Janice (Vic) Hein and Mary (Henry) Vanden Bosch and his brother Jack (Jeno); his daughter, Susan Jones, Hortonia; and his seven sons: Richard (Brenda), Sherwood; Ronald, Greendale; William (Kay), Phoenix; Robert, Kaukauna; Joseph (Diane), Sherwood; Brian (Mary), Suring; and Jeffrey (Karen), Waukesha.
    He is further survived by 12 grandchildren: Nicholas (Lauren), Ashley, Nathaniel, Taylor, Benjamin (Jennifer), Ashlee (Jason), Laura (Becky), Jennifer (Caleb), Autum, Jessica (Eric), Travis (Tracey), and Hannah.
    He is further survived by 12 great-grandchildren: Brynn, Kaylin, Lucas, Jameson, Brecken, Aria, Riley, Ella, Kara, Coralea, Will, and Gwen.
    LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella (Timmers) Bast; three daughters-in-law: Mary Virginia Bast, Sandra Bast, and Becky Janssen; and one son-in-law, Roger Jones.
    The funeral liturgy for LeRoy will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly. A visitation and prayer service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home, and additional visitation at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Father Bob Kollath will officiate. Burial will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Little Chute.
    LeRoy's family thanks all of their friends and family who helped during this difficult time, especially Betty's niece Marla Mischler.     Joyce M. Smith, 81, Neenah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at her home. She was born on April 2, 1934, in Kaukauna, daughter of John "Jack" and Gertrude (Timmers) Hietpas. Joyce was employed with Central Paper for 20 plus years, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to Oneida Casino. Joyce also like to visit friends & family, spend time with her grandchildren, go thrift shopping, and watch the Packers. More than anything Joyce enjoyed time spent with her best friend and partner in crime; Cleavo Carpenter, and then when Cleavo died, her daughter Debbie.
    Joyce is survived by her children: Judy Yaeger, Wayne (Sharon Flannigan) Smith, Rick (Jill) Smith, and Elaine Tate; 7 grandchildren: Tammy (Justin) Zastrow, Jason, (Jess) Yaeger, Jessica Stone, Crystal (Phil) Romenesko, Ryan (fiance Brittany Hanmer) Smith, Karly Tate, and Taylor (fiance Kayla Worchel) Tate; 6 great grandchildren: Alison, Ashley, Peyton, Matthew Zastrow, Frisco and Howie Romenesko; former husband: Kenneth F.     It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Ellen Pleshek (Weyers), age 84, of Oconto. Ruthie passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

    Ruth attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1951. Ruth worked at Thilmany in Kaukana til moving to Oshkosh where she worked at Universal Foundry. She married Roger Pleshek at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oshkosh on June 25th 1955. The couple moved to Milwaukee where Roger was employed at AC Spark Plug. In 1959, they welcomed their new son, Michael, and then, in 1960, daughter, Jean.
    The couple moved to Oconto, WI, in December 1960 where Roger worked at Holt instrument Laboratories. Ruth became involved in the community, where she developed many lasting friendships. She was a lifetime member of the Oconto Legion Auxillary, Oconto Legion Golf Club Women's League, and many other activities. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she and Roger sang in the choir for many years.
    In 1968, the couple opened a Sears Catalog Store in Oconto. They sold the business in 1974. Ruth had the joy of working at Pitroff's Candy store during holiday seasons. Ruth then worked at Elliot Glove in Oconto until accepting a position as an administrative assistant at the Health and Human Services Dept. at Oconto County Courthouse where she worked until retirement.
    Ruth survived numerous serious health issues throughout her life that seemed insurmountable. Her drive and faith always led her out of peril and she never complained. She always bounced back from every setback. Ruth cared for Roger (Knute) after he had a massive stroke in 1989. Her devotion to Knute was truly special. He passed away on March 7, 2004.
    After Knute's passing, Ruth became involved in Oconto's Ruby Hatters, and joined Bond Community Center where she participated in swimming with her pals. She volunteered at the Nursing Home, sewing quilts and participating in activities with residents. She remained involved with the Oconto American Legion Auxilliary until she was no longer able.
    In 2010, Ruth's health began to decline and Dave and Jeannie moved in with her to take care of her until she required 24-7. In January of 2014, she moved into Sun Valley Assisted Living where she enjoyed crafting, bingo, puzzles, coloring and cards. Special gratitude goes out to all of the beautiful souls who cared for her during her time there. She adored every single one of her caregivers.
    The family expresses sincere appreciation for all of the love, prayers and support extended as we said good bye to Ruthie. Special thanks to Oconto EMTs, ER staff and health care team at Bellin Health Oconto Hospital for making her journey the best possible and peaceful passing we all could have hoped for. The care and compassion in every step was comforting beyond words. Extra special thanks to Dr. Heyka for helping us through this very difficult time.
    Funeral Services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 716 Madison St, Oconto, WI 54153 on Tuesday March 7, 2017. Visitation 9 -11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 11, followed by a luncheon at Holy Trinity Parish Hall.

    Eunice Mae Becker, "Euny," 73, Greenville, was called home to her Savior with her loving family at her side Saturday, February 21, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was born March 4, 1935, to the late Henry Sr. and Rosella (Timmers) Weyers in Kaukauna, WI. Eunice married Robert Becker on September 8, 1956, in Oshkosh. She graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac and was a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Pediatrics until retiring in 1983. She enjoyed reading, traveling, swimming and knitting, but the most important thing to her was her family and sharing time together with them.
    Survivors include her loving husband and best friend, Robert, of 52 years of marriage, children: Bill (Gail) Becker; Barb (Dean) Baehman; Jim Becker and Bev (Del) Laabs; precious grandchildren: Tess (Fred) Evenson, Greg Baehman; and Dustin and Corey Laabs; four sisters: Ruth Pleshek, Dee (Don) Mosher, Betty (Tom) Schoenberger and Peg Draves; a brother, Henry Jr. (Judy) Weyers. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers-in-law: Charles Draves and Roger Pleshek; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Clarence Becker.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be held for Eunice at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009, at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Greenville, with Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Interment will be in the parish Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday evening with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. There will also be visitation Thursday at church one hour prior to mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in her memory.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Mahindra, medical staff of ICU and chaplain services for their care and support of Euny and her family. Also a thank you to Deacon Dave and Fr. Mark and everyone's thoughts and prayers these past weeks.

    Peg M. Draves, 72, Neenah, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 17, 1944, to the late Henry and Rosella (Timmers) Weyers at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, and resided in Kaukauna until moving to Oshkosh in 1952. Peg was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles "Charlie" L. Draves on January 8, 1966 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Oshkosh.
    Peg is survived by daughters: Jane (Gordy) Eastman - Muscle Shoals, AL; Ann (Jim) Peliotes - Ada, MI; Katey (Rick) Buss - Neenah; and Beth (Jim) Giese - Inver Grove Heights, MN. She is also survived by siblings: Dee (Doc) Mosher - Neenah; Betty Schoenberger - Oshkosh; Butch (Judy) Weyers - Oshkosh; brothers-in-law: Jack (Rita) Draves - Neenah, and Bob Becker - Greenville; grandchildren: Brian (Sara), Amanda (Nick), Jonathan, Michael, Darik, Connor, Hannah and Charlie; and great-grandchildren: Marilyn, Sullivan and Brooklyn; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
    Peg was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charlie; sisters: Euny Becker and Ruth Pleshek; mother-in-law Evelyn Draves; and brothers-in-law: Knute Pleshek and Tom Schoenberger.
    Peg graduated in 1962 from Lourdes High School, Oshkosh where she made many lasting friendships. She also maintained life-long friendships during her career at Kimberly Clark and Horace Mann Middle School in Neenah, from which she retired in 2009. Peg was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, Neenah.
    Peg loved to travel! Some of her favorite places were Riviera Maya with her daughters, Alaska, Arizona, New York, and annual get-away vacations she planned with her siblings. No matter where she went or what she was doing, her adventurous and fun-loving spirit was always present. Peg cherished family traditions and get-togethers, was an avid reader, movie-goer, and enjoyed going for drives to take in the beautiful fall colors during her favorite time of the year.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 7, 2017, at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken and Deacon Tom Gritton officiating. Per Peg's wishes, a private interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Charlie. Visitation will be held Friday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass.     Janet Zierler, of Kaukauna, age 72, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Janet was born on August 11, 1933, to Richard and Dorothy (Baker) Timmers in Kaukauna. She married Bernard Zierler on April 26, 1951, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
    She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Timmers; her four children: Gail (Jim Hennes) Zierler, Robert (Christine) Zierler and their four children, Andria (Jim) Bena, David, Justin and Creg; Debra (Steven) Zenisek and their three children, Ryan, Shanna and Lindsey; and Mary (Tom) Coates; and two great-grandchildren, Pierce and Allison.
    She was preceded in death by her father, her husband and longtime friend and companion, Richard Lesselyoung.

    John R. Lemke, 57, formerly of rural Kaukauna, passed away February 19, 2008, in El Paso, Texas after a brief illness. The son of Alvin W. Lemke and Mabel (Timmers) Lemke, John was born December 23, 1950, in Appleton.
    He attended Holy Cross catholic grade school in Kaukauna, and Freedom High School. He graduated in 1969. He received a B.S. degree from UW-Stevens Point and also two master's degrees from the University of Texas. At the time of his death, John was a Special Education Resource teacher for the 45,000 student Ysleta School District in El Paso - a career he loved and that his many students benefited from. Among other awards, he was a teacher of the year.
    Prior to teaching, John spent eighteen years in the U. S. Army serving in various stateside and overseas locations.
    John was focused on his work, but hobbies included discovering wines, pottery, and gemstones native to the southwest. These hobbies and his teaching he shared with his "four wives" (fellow educators) who cared deeply about him, students and each other.
    John was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
    He is survived by a son, Eric Lemke, and a daughter, Wendy Rodeffer, and three grandchildren. He is further survived by his children's mother, Darlene Kunde, a brother, James R. Lemke (Lois), and a sister, Joan R. Lemke.

    Robert James Bast, age 57, of Kaukauna, passed away surrounded by loving family and friends on September 20, 2014 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. He fought a brave battle against cancer for nearly six years.
    Bob was born on December 26, 1956, the son of Betty M. Bast and the late LeRoy J. Bast. He went to grade school at Holy Name of Jesus and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1976. Bob worked for Van Thull's Bakery and then Valley Grinding in Little Chute. He retired in 2013.

    Obituary:
    Michael P. Pleshek, age 51, of Chilton, died on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born August 16, 1959 in Milwaukee, son of Ruth (Weyers) Pleshek and the late Roger Pleshek. Michael married Annette M. Johnson on June 16, 1984 at Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church. He began working in County Conservation in 1985; in 1993 Michael became a Calumet County Conservation Worker until starting employment at Ariens in Brillion. He was an extremely intelligent individual, having earned 2 degrees from UW Platteville; a BS in Reclamation in 1984 and a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2010 when he also became a member of the Order of the Engineer. His intelligence never stopped with formal education though. He was a voracious reader which gave him insight and firm knowledge of many things; he often times considered himself 'a cesspool of useless information'. Although some of the information may have been useless, it led him to be a multi-talented individual. Anything Michael put his mind to doing, he was able to decipher the challenges that may lie ahead. He was always very active throughout his life as well. Michael was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in New Holstein, played Rugby in college and was a member of the LSP Fraternity in college, enjoyed hunting and fishing, made delicious wines, liked woodworking, took pleasure in music and guitar playing, and was an active member of the Calumet County Community Theater. Michael, whether he cared to admit it or not, was an extrovert. He always had a way with people that made them feel comfortable no matter what. He looked for the good in people and accepted them for who they were and where they were on life's journey. His great sense of humor and gentle nature brought out the best in those lives he touched. Most of all, Michael will be remembered as a caring and loving husband and father whose presence in life will be truly missed. He is survived by his wife: Annette; his children: Anthony, Nathaniel and Jenna; his mother: Ruth Pleshek; his mother-in-law: Maxine Johnson; a sister: Jean; his in-laws: Jerilyn (Bill) Faltz, Janell Narveson, Burnett "Barney" (Stephanie) Johnson; nieces and nephews: Alexandria & Nicholas Donisch, Jarret & Kyle Faltz, Alex Narveson; 2 grand-nephews: Dyllan & Hunter Faltz, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Roger; his father-in-law: Burnett Johnson; and nephews: Andrew, Austin, & Elliott Johnson. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 2:30 PM on Saturday, December 18, 2010. A scholarship fund has been established at the State Bank of Chilton in the name of Michael P. Pleshek for Higher Education. Although Michael 'cleaned up nice', he really prefered to dress in more comfortable clothes. Please feel free to do likewise when attending his service.
