    Martin, Robert J. "Bill ie Bob"Robert J. Martin, of Appleton, age 63 years, died Monday, May 15, 200 6. He was born May 20, 1942, in Green Bay, WI, the son of the late Perry a nd Delores (VanLankvelt) Martin. Bob served in the U.S. Army during Vietn am and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was employed for about 20 y ears at James River and had recently retired. Billie Bob had a life-long l ove of flying and volunteered many years at the EAA. He enjoyed model airp lanes, fishing and was an avid coin collector. Bob was an avid Nascar f an and finally converted from a Panther fan to an avid Packer fan.He is survived by his children: Marsha Martin, Houston, MO; Monty (Beck y) Hayes, Olathe, KS; and Dana (Howard) Crane, Summersville, MO; ten grand children, five great-grandchildren; sisters: Barb (Wally) Potaczek, Applet on; Betty (Doug) Akey, Oshkosh; and Sandy (Hank) Kelderman, Menasha; broth er, Bill (Patty) Martin, Wind Lake, WI; dear friend and former wife, Kat hy Pittman, Houston, MO and good friend Jim. Billy Bob is further surviv ed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Marie Buford.The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2006, at WIC HMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. Interment will take place at Southe rn Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. Friends may ca ll on Friday at the Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until the time of servic e. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.Dad, You will always be our shining star. We love you and will miss you mo re than anyone can imagine. Love, Marsha, Dana and Monty.Grandpa, You have always been there for us and we are all so blessed we g ot to spend time with you. We all remember those long days spent at Montau k; fishing, a barbeque and just spending time with the family. We are a ll going to miss you, but your love will forever be in our hearts.
