    LeRoy John St. Louis, 76, Appleton, passed away on April 22, 2013 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. LeRoy was born on December 9, 1936 in Appleton to the late Raymond and Catherine (Langenberg) St. Louis. He was a route salesman with Frito Lay.
    He will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia, Appleton, children Polly Mariades, Belen NM, Jeff St. Louis, Oshkosh and Jon (Mary) St. Louis, Appleton, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters and one brother, Jeanette (Melvin) Cotter, Kaukauna, Nancy Bruce, Summit Lake, WI and Raymond (Angie) St. Louis, Darboy as well as other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Steve Mariades and two sisters, Kathleen and Ethel.
    According to LeRoy's wishes, there will be a gathering of family and friends at Valley Funeral Home on April 27, 2013 from 3:00-4:00 pm. There will be a memorial service to celebrate LeRoy's life at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
    The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of ThedaCare at Home for the wonderful care given to LeRoy.

    Sister Donna Marie Kessler, age 86, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Monday morning, November 10, 2014 at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
    The former Mary Therese Kessler was born on February 9, 1928 in Appleton, daughter of the late Edward G. & Mary C. (Langenberg) Kessler. She entered the Convent in 1946 and professed her vows in 1948. Sister Donna Marie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc, a Masters Degree from Marquette University, Milwaukee, and a Masters of Religious Studies from St. Charles Seminary, Philadelphia, PA. Sister Donna Marie served as a teacher/principal at St. Boniface, Holy Redeemer and St. Andrew, Manitowoc, St. Philip, Green Bay, St. Gabriel, Neenah, St. Therese, Appleton and St. Agnes, Mingo Junction, Ohio. After serving on the General Council from 1969-1977, Sister served as a part time Faculty member at Silver Lake College and did extensive research on the history of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. She was 37 years the Archivist, Retreat Director and author of various Community documents including a history of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity that is in the process of being published. Since 2011, she had been a resident of St. Rita's Health Center. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
    Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; three brothers and five sisters-in-law: Larry & Donna (Springborn) Kessler of Neenah, Bob & Nancy (Toman) Kessler of Exeland, Tom & Joyce (Bauer) Kessler of Turtle Lake, Sally (Stilip) Kessler of Neenah; and two sisters: Ginny Bowerk of Neenah and Donna Kessler of Green Bay. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Mary Langenberg Kessler; her two aunts: Sister Marie Therese Kessler, OSF, Sister Sponsa Kessler, SSND; a brother: John Kessler and a brother-in-law: Willard Bolwerk.
    Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Finian Zaucha, OFM with burial at Holy Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
    The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 and Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
    The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

    John Kessler, 82, Neenah, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Sterling House. He was born May 29, 1931, in Appleton, son of Edward and Mary (Langenberg) Kessler. John married Sally Stilp on April 24, 1954, in Neenah. He was employed by Marathon, which became American Can Company, and later Georgia Pacific, for 44 ½ years. John was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah, and the Knights of Columbus #5514 Neenah Council.
    John is survived by his wife, Sally; children: Stephen (Jean) Kessler, Poughkeepsie, NY; Jean (Ernest) Legge, Stormville, NY; Rosanne (Howard) Taylor, Moscow Mills, MO; William (Beverly) Kessler, Uxbridge, MA; and Thomas (Michele) Kessler, Green Bay; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings: Sister Donna Marie Kessler, Manitowoc; Lawrence (Donna) Kessler, Neenah; Robert (Nancy) Kessler, Exeland, WI; Virginia Bolwerk, Neenah; Thomas (Joyce) Kessler, Turtle Lake, WI; and Donna Kessler, Green Bay; two brothers-in-law: Don (Jean) Stilp, Neenah; and Tom Stilp, Aiken, SC; and many other relatives and friends.
    John was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David; an infant daughter; a brother-in-law, Willard Bolwerk; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Stilp.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. David Funk O.F.M. Cap officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

    Virginia M. Bolwerk, 81, Neenah, died Monday, February 15, 2016, at St. Paul Elder Services, Kaukauna. She was born on October 10, 1934, in Appleton, to the late Edward and Mary (Langenberg) Kessler. Ginny married Willard Bolwerk on May 11, 1957, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2009. She was employed at Morton Pharmacy/LTC for over 30 years. Ginny was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Ginny loved her children, adored her grandchildren and cherished her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed family vacations The Birches Resort for 43 years.
    Ginny is survived by her children: Mary (Chris) Volkman, Trish (Tom) Smith, Marty (Debbie) Bolwerk, Kristi (Andy) Yates, Jane (Gary) Kattau, and Jon (Dawn) Bolwerk; 13 grandchildren: Peter (Leslie) Volkman, Kati (Russ) Stacy, Betsy (Nathan) Frailey, Adam and Matt (Katelyn) Bolwerk, April and Kyle Yates, Emily, Jonah, Jarrod and Noah Kattau, and Jacki and Gabi Bolwerk; 5 great-grandchildren: Ella Stacy, Nora and Henrik Volkman, Nathan Frailey and Fynn Bolwerk; a sister: Donna Kessler; 3 brothers: Larry (Donna) Kessler, Bob (Nancy) Kessler, and Tom (Joyce) Kessler; a sister-in-law: Sally Kessler; and many other family members and friends.
    In addition to her husband and parents; Virginia is further preceded in death by a sister: Sister Donna Marie Kessler, and a brother: John Kessler.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Canavera officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be held Friday at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Family Convent which will support the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
    Ginny's family wishes to express a warm thank you to all the staff at St. Paul Elder Services for their compassionate care.

    James L. Langenberg, age 74, of Milwaukee, died on July 13, 2008, at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Jim was born on April 11, 1934, in Appleton, to the late Bernard A. and Elsie E. (Simpson) Langenberg. He was a graduate of Appleton Senior High School and the U.S. Army Engineering School-Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Jim attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison (Chemistry and NROTC); and graduated from Michigan College of Mining and Technology (Michigan Tech), Houghton (Chemical Engineering). He worked at Lakeside Laboratories (Colgate-Palmolive Subsidiary), Milwaukee; American Motors Corporation, Kenosha; FMC-Inorganic Chemical Division, Buffalo, New York; Keystone Consolidated-Industrial Steel and Wire Division, Peoria, Illinois; the State of Illinois-Department of Labor (Toxic Substance Division); and the Illinois EPA, Springfield, Illinois.
    Survivors include his sister, Carole Susan Tuckis, Palm Harbor, Florida; his nieces: Laura (Robert) Rutherford and their daughter, Emily, Orlando, Florida and Kimberly (Jason) Brown, and their children, Olivia and Dylan, Orlando, Florida; his nephew, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Tuckis and their sons, William and Benjamin, Wake Forest, North Carolina; his aunt, Anna Marie Simpson, Kaukauna; and his uncle Robert Brower, Appleton. He is further survived by his former wife, Meredith Langenberg, Green Bay, and many cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Langenerg, and his brother-in-law, Bob Tuckis.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial has been established in Jim's name to benefit the Kidney Foundation.

    Deborah A. (Debbie) Jabas, 62, of Waupun died Saturday, August 31, 2013, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
    Debbie was born May 22, 1951, in Appleton, WI, the daughter of Richard and Nancy St. Louis Jabas. Debbie attended Appleton schools and graduated from Appleton East High School. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin in Madison where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders. On August 28, 1974, she married Neil Gleason in Silver Lake, New York. The couple resided in Syracuse, New York, for about a year, where Neil taught school and then moved to Owen, WI, where Debbie taught at Owen-Withee schools for three years as a speech therapist. In 1978, they moved to Waupun, where she worked for CESA 6 (Cooperative Educational Services Agency 6) out of Oshkosh for many years. The last ten years of her career were spent at The Early Learning Center in North Fond du Lac, where she was an instructor in Early Childhood Special Needs, a position which was the highlight of her career. She especially loved working alongside the other early childhood educators - affectionately known as "the sisters". Debbie was a member of the Union-Congregational Church in Waupun.
    Debbie is survived by her husband, Neil Gleason of Waupun; daughter, Emily (Erik) Wettersten of Golden, CO; her mother, Nancy Bruce of Summit Lake, WI; sister, Wendy (Mark) Laux of Brown Deer; brother, Russell (Lisa) Jabas of Appleton; two stepsisters, Sue (William) Hamilton of Madison and Sharon (Dan) Kohl of Appleton; stepbrother, Steve (Gail) Bruce of Neenah; and many other relatives and friends.
    Debbie was preceded in death by son, Benjamin (Ben) Gleason on March 11, 2013; her father, Richard Jabas; and stepfather, William Bruce.
    Memorial services for Deborah Jabas will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Union-Congregational Church in Waupun, with Rev. Mark Arbisi officiating. Friends and relatives of Debbie may call on the family at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
    The family requests memorials be directed to Recovery Foundation (an affiliate of Connections Counseling) 5005 University Avenue, Suite 100, Madison, WI 53705 or online at www.recoveryfoundation.net to make a donations which will provide funding for uninsured young people in need of alcohol and drug treatment.
