    Vandehei, Richard A.Richard A. Vandehei, 82, went peacefully to God on Saturday, January 8, 20 05, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born July 7, 192 2, in De Pere to Frank and Josephine (Vercauteren) Vandehei. The family mo ved to Oneida when he was five, and he lived in Oneida his entire life a nd farmed until his retirement in 1984.Richard's faith was an important part of his life. He met his wife, Jean M ullen, at St. Joseph Church and they celebrated 60 years of marriage on Ap ril 12, 2004. Their 13 children graduated from St. Joseph Grade Schoo l. He served as Parish Trustee, Secretary of the Holy Name Society, He ad of Ushers and Mass Server for funerals. He counted collections, open ed church for daily Mass and was available for repairs and maintenance whe never asked.In addition to farming, Richard worked at Menominee Sugar Company, Cohod as Brothers Fruit Market, Andrews Oil Company and Green Bay Foods. He w as also a volunteer fireman with the Hobart Fire Department for over 20 ye ars. He enjoyed ice fishing with his sons, NASCAR, watching Packers gam es and playing cards. He had a wonderful sense of humor and seldom pass ed on an opportunity for a practical jokeRichard is survived by his wife, Jean; six sons and six daughters: Randy ( Nancy), Oneida; Gloria (Bob) Scheriff, Green Bay; Audrey (Tom) Mc Carey, G reen Bay; Rod (Toni), Oneida; Nancy Skenandore, Oneida; Mark (Terry), Gra nd Junction, Colorado; Joan, Oneida; Julayne (Mark) Vannieuwenhoven, Steve ns Point; Scott (Debbie), Krakow; Vicky Ridderbush, Pulaski and friend Pe te Carriveau; Brian, Krakow; Dick, Pulaski; 34 grandchildren and 31 great- grandchildren.He is further survived by his sisters and brothers: Vernon and Violet Vand ehei, Franklin, WI; Delores (Dottie) Vandehei, Ted and Rosemary Prosser, A lyce and Jerry Berken, Joe and Helen Lemmen, Bill and Carol Vandehei, Fa ye and Reuel Robertson, all of Oneida; and Michael (Mickey) and Anita Pero ck, De Pere; sisters and brothers-in-law: Emmet Mullen, Seymour; La Rose V anden Langenberg, Seymour; and Ken and Elsie Mullen, Green Bay; aunts, Mar garet Hockers and Merjorie Jansen, both of De Pere.Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josie Vandehei; mo ther and father-in-law, Ed and Mae Mullen; his son, Rolly; son-in-la w, Z. Ron Skenandore; grandchildren, John Demuth and Renee' Scheriff; sist ers and brothers: Jim Vandehei, Jeanette and Charles Puyleart; and Helen L emmen; sisters and brothers-in-law: Roman and Myrtle Mullen; Lucille Mulle n, Eben and Gertrude Mullen and Bernard Vanden Langenberg.Visitation will be Tuesday, January 11th at St. Joseph Church, 145 St. Jos eph Drive, Oneida, beginning at 3 p.m., with a parish prayer service at 7: 30 p.m. to close the evening. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, Janua ry 12th after 9:30 a.m. at church followed by a celebration of Richard's l ife with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., con-celebrated by Rev. Gre gory Smith and Rev. Tim Shillcox, O.Praem. Entombment at Shrine of Good Sh epherd Mausoleum. Ryan Funeral Home is assisting the family.
