    Agnes J. Knabenbauer, 98, Appleton, passed away at Rennes Health Center, Appleton, on Thursday, February 23, 2012. Agnes was born on March 21, 1913, in Kimberly, to the late John and Nellie Van Elzen. She married Clarence Knabenbauer in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1995.
    Agnes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, baking Christmas cookies and candy, and especially enjoyed time spent with her family. Agnes was well-known as an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
    Survivors include her children, Barbra Ahrens, Appleton; and Gary (Julie) Knabenbauer, New Holstein; her grandchildren, Mark (Amy) Ahrens, Dawn Ahrens-Trams, Tim (Linda) Ahrens, Tracy (Tim) Baeten, Denise (Greg) Taylor, Tom (Michelle) Burzynski, Jason Burzynski and Andy (Carrie) Knabenbauer; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and a sister-in-law, Jean Schmit.
    She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith (John) Burzynski; her brother-in-law, Earl Schmit; her grandson-in-law, Duane Trams; and her 13 brothers and sisters.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012, at HOLY SPIRIT-HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Holy Name Catholic Church Cemetery, Kimberly.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
    The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Rennes Health Center, Heartland Hospice and St. Elizabeth Hospital, for their loving care.

    Barbara Ahrens, of Appleton, age 71, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at her home. She was born on August 26, 1940, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Clarence and Agnes (Van Elzen) Knabenbauer. Barb was a loyal employee at Colony Oaks Care Center for 42 years, and showed great compassion towards all the residents. She enjoyed special time with family, especially her children, grandchildren and her dog, Annie. Barb looked forward to playing poker with the card club ladies and their annual trip to Kelly Lake, going to the casino and she enjoyed rooting for her beloved Chicago Cubs. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
    Barb is survived by her children: Mark (Amy) Ahrens, Dawn (late Duane) Ahrens-Trams, and Tim (Linda) Ahrens; grandchildren: Ashley and Kayla Ahrens; Sam and Zach Ahrens; great grandson: Parker; brother: Gary (Julie) Knabenbauer; aunt: Jean Schmit and special goddaughter: Tracy Baeten, and other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the father of her children, Jack Ahrens, and good friends, Rosie and Tom Ahrens. Barb was preceded in death by her sister, Judy (John) Burzynski, and her uncle, Earl Schmit.
    The funeral service for Barbara will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at NEW HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1850 American Drive in Neenah. Rev. Jeff Prewitt will be officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name. Online condolences can be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

    Judith A. Burzynski, 63, Appleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Franciscan Care Center, Appleton. She was born June 4, 1945, in Appleton, to Clarence and Agnes (Van Elzen) Knabenbauer. Judy married Milo John Burzynski and they just celebrated their 42nd Anniversary on May 7, 2008. Judy was a cook at Appleton Medical Center for over 22 years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and served a term as Senior Regent W.O.O.M. Family meant everything to Judy, spending time with the grandkids and getting everyone together.
    Judy is survived by her husband, Milo; four children: Tracy (Tim) Baeten, Shiocton and their children: Kyra, Kendra, Tyler and Tanner; Denise (Greg) Taylor, Iola and their children: Luke, Jake, Jessie and Josh; Tom (special friend, Michelle Baeten) Burzynski, Appleton and his children: Heather, Brianna, Kayleigh and Morgan; Jason (Jennifer) Burzynski, Appleton and their daughter Emma; mother Agnes, Kimberly; sister Barbara Ahrens, Appleton; brother Gary (Julie) Knabenbauer, New Holstein; aunt, Jeanne Schmit. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, a godchild, Dawn (Duane) Trams and Judy's dogs: Chinook and Snowflake.
    She was met in heaven by her father, Clarence; uncle Earl Schmit and mother and father-in-law, Margaret Burzynski and Leo Burzynski.
    Funeral services for Judy will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Valley Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday also at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established.
    The family wishes to thank the staff on unit 4 at Franciscan Care especially Karen, Richard and Autumn for their care and support of Judy and her family.
