    Robinson, Eunice I. "Chick", Age 93, died Monday morning, July 7, 2003. She was born July 31, 1909, to the late Frank and Lucy (Spears) Wiegand, in Appleton, where she was a resident all of her life. Eunice had been employed by Lakeview Mill for 28 years. She loved her flowers, crocheting and baking. Eunice was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include three children, Robert Robinson, Appleton; Beverly Lyon, Appleton; Joan (Clyde) Schumacher, Kimberly; eight grandchildren, Tom (Linda) Lyon, Greenville; Jeff (Karen) Lyon, Milwaukee; Peggy (Chuck) Reetz, Appleton; Lisa Jansen, Appleton; Mark Schumacher and his friend, Wendy, Freedom; Lynn (Barry) Drews, Michigan; Tim (Colleen) Schumacher, Sherwood; Steve (Ann) Schumacher, Stockbridge; 11 great grandchildren; Stephanie and Tim Lyon, Jennifer and Jackie Lyon, Brooke and Laura Jansen, Chris and Brad Schumacher, Dana Schumacher, Bailey and Taylor Drews: a sister-in-law, Evie Wiegand Herm, Scottsdale, AZ.     Russell G. Bowers, 91, Appleton, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born Aug. 5, 1920, to Earl and Esther (Wiegand) Bowers. He was a graduate of the Class of 1939 at Appleton High School. On Sept. 21, 1943, he was united in marriage to Aurelia Kauth at St. Therese Catholic Church, Appleton. The couple has enjoyed 68 years together.
    Russ worked in law enforcement most of his working career with the Outagamie County Sheriff Department, retiring as Undersheriff in 1981.
    He is survived by his wife, Aurelia, Appleton; two daughters, Diane (Marvin) Verkuilen, Thorp, Wis.; and Nancy Koehler, Appleton; seven grandchildren, William (Michelle) Verkuilen, Cynthia (Mathew) Miklasz, Gregory (Brenda) Verkuilen, Catherine (Todd) Hein, Barbara (Doug) Mederos, Joel (Carolyn) Koehler, and Jesse (Tia) Koehler; 19 great-grandchildren, Angela, Benjamin, Emily and David Miklasz, Emma, Conner, and Adam Verkuilen, Caroline, Margaret, Jack and Sam Mederos, Lane and Cade Koehler, Ally and Macey Koehler, Barrett and Kimber Verkuilen, and Ruby and Hudson Hein; his brother, John (Marilyn) Bowers; sisters-in-law, Katherine Bowers and Elisabeth Bowers. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Florence (Harold) Drexler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford (June), Robert, Donald (Alice), Franklin (Mary), Earl, and Dean.
    A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, Feb. 9, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald St., with Father James Lucas officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

    John A. Bowers, 87, Menominee, MI, died Friday, June 24, 2016. He was born November 20, 1928, to Earl and Esther (Wiegand) Bowers. He was a graduate of the Class of 1948 at Kaukauna High School. On February 3, 1951, he was united in marriage to Marilyn J. Rickert at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton, WI. They recently celebrated 65 years together.
    John enlisted in the US Army at the age of 19, traveling to various duty stations around the world with his wife and children. He retired in 1969 achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CWO3). Upon his retirement, John began his second career as the Personnel & Safety Manager at Patz Sales in Pound, WI, retiring in 1993. He was an active member and former Commander of the American Legion Post 146 in Menominee, MI, as well as being a member of the Military 20 year club. He was a 3rd Degree Knight of the Menominee Knights of Columbus. John also served on the Marinette County Board, Marinette Local Area Planning Committee, and the Tri-County Safety Committee.
    He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, Menominee, MI; daughter Cheryl (Fritz) Harris, Green Bay, WI; son Steven (Jane) Bowers, Westerville, OH; and daughter Michelle (Curtis) Sutherland, Pelkie, MI. Grandchildren Fred (Tara) Harris & their children Lily, Sebastian and William, Chicago, IL; Elinor (Shane) Breitenbach & their children Collin, Leland, Henry and Emmet, Cecil, WI ; Andrew (Courtney) Bowers & their child Ryleigh, Carrollton, TX; Alex Bowers, Westerville, OH; and Anna Bowers Sutherland, Pelkie, MI; and Sister and Brother in-law Susan and Tom Harris, Escanaba, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

    Visitation will take place at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home 549 10th Ave Menominee, MI on Wednesday, June 29th between the hours of 4 - 7 PM. An American Legion memorial ceremony will be held at 5 PM. The vigil prayer service will begin at 7pm with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of John Bowers, on Thursday June 30th at 11AM at Resurrection Catholic Church in Menominee, MI. Military Honor will be performed by the Military 20 Year Club following the Mass. A lunch will follow at the American Legion Post 146 in Menominee, MI. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton, WI.

    Rosemary E. (Merkes) Tiede, Menasha, age 84, passed away after a short illness at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center on Monday, February 19, 2007. She was born in Appleton on December 10, 1922 the daughter of the late Joseph and Maribelle (Wiegand) Merkes. In May, 1943 she married Lyle Tiede who preceded her in death in 1983. Rosemary was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul, Appleton. Rosemary is survived by her children: Tyrone (Suzanne) Tiede, Menasha; Terri Hansen and special friend, Charlie Polar, Neenah; William (Polly) Tiede, Menasha; grandchildren: Samantha Tiede, Michelle Tiede, Robert Tiede and Peter Hansen, Jr.; step-grandchildren: Jeffery VanderZanden, Jessica Bushman and Michael Bushman; sister-in-law and good friend of Rosemary, Evelyn Merkes; brothers-in-law: Leroy (Lois) Tiede and Arlin (Eileen) Tiede; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; step-father, Walter Miller; brother, Joseph Merkes; and brother-in-law, Lavern Tiede.     Robinson, Robert W. - Bob Robinson, 80, passed away on Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Bob was born in Appleton on Nov. 30, 1927, son of the late McKinley and Eunice (Wiegand) Robinson. He was a 1945 graduate of Appleton High School and served in the United States Army as a Corporal in the 82nd Field Artillery. Bob was also a member of Harvey Pierre Post #2778 of the V.F.W. For many years, Bob worked in the area printing industry, a career he started right after high school when he began work at Badger Printing. Bob enjoyed movies, theater and playing bingo.
    He is survived by two sisters, Beverly Lyon, Appleton; and Joan (Clyde) Schumacher, Kimberly; and eight nieces and nephews, Tom (Linda) Lyon, Jeff (Karen) Lyon, Peggy (Chuck) Reetz, Steve (Ann) Schumacher, Tim (Colleen) Schumacher, Lynn (Barry) Drews, Mark (Wendy) Schumacher, and Lisa Jansen and her fiance, Chad Pethke.
    Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Lincoln Lyon.
    The funeral liturgy for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service.

    Steven R. Schumacher, age 60, of Neenah, passed away at his home on October 6, 2016. Steve was born on May 14, 1956, in Appleton, to Clyde and Joan (Robinson) Schumacher. He was a life-long and well-known fisherman, especially enjoying his time at Chute Pond.
    Survivors include his parents; his daughter Dana Schumacher (special friend, Justin); his special friend, Vanessa; his siblings, Tim (Colleen) Schumacher; Lynn (Mike) Kavanaugh; Mark (Wendi) Schumacher; and Lisa (Chad) Pethke. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
    Memorial services for Steve will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 204 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Dan Felton officiating.
