    • Mr. and Mrs. John McCandless, Sheboygan celebrated their golden wedding anniver-sary Aug. 3 at the home of their son, Charles McCandless, route 1, Hortonville. About 100 friends and relatives attended the open house.
      Mr. McCandless, 77, and the former Emma Bolle, 66, were married Aug. 4, 1908, in Antigo. After their marriage they lived in the Appleton area.
      The couple has six children, 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Their children include Charles, Hortonville; Harold, Sheboygan; and the Mmes. Thomas Stilp, Hortonville; Arthur Schoerner, Sheboygan; Clair Buckhott. Almond, and Floyd Quick, Berlin.
      Guests attended from Hortonville, Appleton, Almond, Antigo, Menasha, Oshhosh, Berlin, Bonduel, Clintonville, Sheboygan, Auroraville and Black Creek. Out-of-state guests came from Duluth, Minn., St. Paul, Minn., and Flint, Mich.
