  News Mention (Family): Marriage Licenses, Applications for marriage licenses were made Tuesday to Herman J Kamps. county clerk, by Frank J. Fema) of Appleton and Grace Esler of Kaukauna; Earl Mowers Esther Wiegand of Appleton: Edwin E. Waiker and Rose M. Hartmanstorfer of Kaukauna. APPLETON POST-CRESCENT, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4,1920 PAGE THREE SOCIETY Wiegand-Bowers Wedding Miss Esther Wiegand, daughter of Mrs. Lucy Wiegand, Freedom road, became the bride of Fred Bowers, also of this city, at 8:30 o'clock this morning at St. Mary's church. The Rev. W. J. Fitzmaurice officiated at the ceremony. Miss Marabelle Wiegand, sister of the bride. and Joseph Merkes attended the couple. The bride wore a burgundy suit with small, tan colored straw hat and carried a bouquet of carnations and roses. The bridesmaid wore a dark blue serge suit and black straw hat and also carried carnations and roses. Following the ceremony. a wedding break- fast was served at the Wiegand home. About forty guests were present. A reception will be held at the home the remainder of the day and a six o'clock supper will be served this evening. Among the out of town guests are Mr. and Mrs. Matt Baer. Mr. and Mrs. John Steers. and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Steers of Hilbert: Mrs. John McMahon. Mrs. Harry Schmedick. Mrs. John Baer and Harry Carond of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Mowers will make their home in this city with the bride's mother, for the present.
