  News Mention (Family): Mrs. Bernard Haas STANLEY, Wis., (Special)-Miss Lucy Ann Henke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter A. Henke, became the bride of Bernard Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Haas of Thorp at a nuptial high mass at 9:30 Thursday morning, June 26, in St. Ann's church. The single ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul Pitzenberger before the altar decorated with peonies. The bride's gown was of white marquisette fashioned with a fitted shirred bodice and a V-neckline and long bishop sleeves. The full skirt ended in a long train. Her finger-tip veil edged with lace was held by a crown of flowers. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white carnations. Her three-strand pearl necklace was a gift of the groom. Miss Phyllis Henke, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid in a gown of Nile green marquisette with a fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline and bracelet-length sleeves and a full skirt. Her headdress was a band of flowers and she carried an arm bouquet of yellow carnations. She wore a double-strand pearl necklace, a gift of the bride. The groom was attended by his brother, Leonard Haas. Following the ceremony a dinner and reception were held at the bride's home for 50 guests. In the evening, a wedding dance and shower were held at the Mileaway pavilion. After a honeymoon trip through the Black Hills and the Yellowstone Park, the bride and groom will make their home in Cadott. The bride was graduated from the Stanley high school with the class of 1938 and has been employed for the past five years at Thorp. The groom spent 3½ years in military service and since his release from service has been working as a carpenter in Cadott. Miss Phyllis Henke, sister of the bride, was her only attendant. She wore a dress of Nile green marquisette, with a headband of flowers and a bouquet of yellow carnations. The groom was attended by his brother, Leonard Haas. The bride wore a dress of white marquisette, fashioned with a fitted bodice and bishop sleeves. The full skirt ended in a long train. She wore a fingertip veil with a crown of flowers and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and white carnations. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for 50 guests, with a dance following at Mileaway Ballroom.
