  Kathryn C. VanLeur Fall Creek, Wisconsin Age 79, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at Fall Creek Valley Nursing Home in Fall Creek, Wisconsin. Kathryn Anderson was born on May 17, 1921 in Mattoon, Illinois. After graduating from high school in Mattoon, Kathryn moved to Chicago, Illinois to work. She married Jacob M. VanLeur on February 14, 1948 in Chicago. Kathryn and Jake lived in California for several years before moving to Appleton, Wisconsin in 1950. Kathryn spent her years in Appleton raising two daughters and enjoying friends and family. Kathryn had a great sense of humor and loved having a good time. Jake and Kathryn retired to Phoenix, Arizona in 1970 but moved back to Wisconsin in 1986 to be closer to their grandchildren. Kathryn is survived by her two daughters and their families: Jacqueline (Jeff) Tollefson, Eau Claire; Lisa (Andrew) McCracken, San Diego, California; a special part of her family, Debbie (John) Fraedrich, Cobden, Illinois; grandchildren: Lindsey and Drew Tollefson; Kate McCracken; Anna, Jacob, Joseph, Joshua and Lael Fraedrich. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jacob M. VanLeur on April 12, 2000; two brothers: James Ellis and Albert Ray; a sister, Norma Helen; and her parents, James Patrick and Mabel Anderson. A private memorial service will be held at the Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, Illinois. "You did it Mom". Live well, laugh often, love much.
