  Spice, Delores D. (Edinger) Delores D. (Edinger) Spice, died on August 27, 2006, at Theda Clark Region al Medical Center. She was born on March 22, 1927, to Arthur and Blanche E dinger in the town of Holland. She graduated from Wrightstown High Scho ol and Outagamie County Teachers College. She received a Bachelors Degr ee from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and taught in Kaukauna Schoo ls for 30 years. In 1985, she and her husband, Calvin, moved to Sun Lake s, AZ. He died there on April 26, 1986. Delores worked as a substitute teacher for the Chandler, Arizona School Di strict and became active in volunteer work. She served as president of t he Lutheran Women's Missionary League at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in S un Lakes where she also enjoyed singing in the choir. She was preside nt of Aid Association for Lutherans Branch 10122 and vice president of t he Maricopa County chapter of the Wisconsin Retired Educators. She volunte ered for Neighbors Who Care and Lutheran Social Services besides scheduli ng for Meals on Wheels. While in Arizona, Delores was active in golf and aerobics classes. In Mar ch of 2001, Delores moved back to Wisconsin and resided in Victorian Villa ge. She attended weekly bible classes at Bethany Lutheran Church. She serv ed as president of AAL branch 3161. Delores was a member of the Outagam ie Retired Educators Association and the Kaukauna Community Health Associa tes. She was secretary of AARP chapter 1834 and served on the board of t he 1000 Islands Environmental Center. She enjoyed participating in a go lf league and activities at the Heart of the Valley YMCA. Her family play ed a very important part in her life along with many friends with whom s he enjoyed spending time. She is survived by three sons and two daughters: The Reverend Gerald Spic e, Grosse Pointe, Michigan; Dennis Spice, San Jose, California; Sherry Spi ce, Denver, Colorado; Deborah (David) Holub, Black Creek; David (Jeanne) S pice, Mesa, Arizona; surviving grandchildren include: Jethro Spice, Applet on; Sara and Neil Holub, Black Creek; Cal Spice, San Jose, California; Mic hael Paris, Mesa, Arizona; Courtney Spice, Mesa, Arizona; and a great-gran dchild, Ethan Spice. Her husband, Calvin, her parents, a brother, Arthur A. Edinger, and a gran ddaughter preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, Kaukauna on We dnesday, August 30, 2006, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Walt Steinbach officiatin g. Burial will take place in Arizona. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund h as been established for Bethany Lutheran Church. The Boettcher Family Fune ral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.
