  Marion L. Stegert, 86, Appleton, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was born April 24, 1921, to the late August and Frieda (Bolte) Springstroh in Town of Center. Marion married Willard Stegert on December 22, 1945, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Appleton. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Stegert, Appleton; son, Willard Stegert, Appleton; sister, Mildred Peters, Freedom; brother, Earl (Elaine) Springstroh, Appleton. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Willard in 1959; parents; sister, Doris (James) Williamsen; an infant brother, Carlton Springstroh; and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Peters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007, at the Valley Funeral Home with Rev. John C. Baumann. Interment will be Community Lutheran Cemetery, Freedom. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday. A memorial fund is being established.
