  William Halbach Sr., 74, of Route 1, Mount Calvary, a resident of the Calvary Station area most of his life where he operated a repair shop, died Monday at St. Agnes Hospital. Born May 18, 1899, at Marytown, he was a son of Anton and Anna Thelen Halbach. He married Hilda Buechel at Jericho on June 8, 1920, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1970. Mr. Halbach was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mount Calvary. Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Augustine of St. Nazianz; four sons, William Jr. at home, James of Route 1, Mount Calvary, John of Mount Calvary and Arvin of Route 1, Chilton. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anton Boehnlein of Hilbert, Mrs. Edgar Thielman of Chilton and Mrs. Clarence Schmitz of Sheboygan; and two brothers, Edward of Route 1, Kiel, and Arthur of Menasha. Two sons and a daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Mt. Calvary. The Rev. Rupert Dorn will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
