  John Allen Prasher, 60, Des Moines, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Kavanagh on 56th Hospice. According to his wishes, his body has been cremated. Memorial services are pending. The location and time will be published in a later edition of the Post Crescent. John was born July 19, 1953 in Appleton, Wis., to Richard, Sr. and Kathryn (Van Lieshout) Prasher. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a graduate of Appleton West High School and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He was employed by the Polk County Attorney as a legal assistant. John is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Robert) Miller of Appleton, WI; Dorothy Regelein of Troutdale, OR; Jane (Donald) Kettner of Black Creek, WI; Nancy (Bruce) Buchholtz of Weyauwega, WI; and Jean (David) Richardson of Fremont, CA. He is also survived by his nephews, Mike (Karen) Karweick and their children, Arron, Ryan, Jacob and Sarah; Mark Karweick and his daughter, Jane; Matthew (Kathy) Karweick and their daughter, Petra; and Chris and Erik Regelein; and nieces, DeDe (Mark) Krause and their children, Lily and Sam; and Karen (Ronald) Knaack. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Prasher, Jr., niece, Paula Kettner, friend, Mark Lahey, and his favorite aunt and uncle, Rose and Carl Prasher.
