  Charles J. Schaefer 207 Whitney St., Kaukauna Age 56, passed away unexpectedly at 11:15 p.m. Sunday. He was born March 11, 1911 in Kaukauna and had been a resident of Kaukauna most of his life. He was employed at Giddings and Lewis Machine Tool Company since 1935. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Catholic Church; a member of the Knights of Columbus; Financial Secretary of the Foresters for the past 21 years; the St. Mary's Usher Society. Mr. Schaefer is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Donna) Vanden Heuvel, Rt. 1, Kaukauna; four sons, Jerome, Crawfordsville, Ind.; Dennis, U.S. Air Force, Kelly Field, San Antonio, Texas; Joseph, St. Norbert College; John, at home; his mother, Mrs. Katherine Schaefer, Appleton; one brother, Cecil, San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Theresa) Van Eyck, Appleton; Mrs. Lawrence (Virginia) Schmitz, Kimberly; 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Knights of Columbus and parish rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Section B, Page 12
