  Mildred A. Verbrick, age 87, of Menasha, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Millie was born in Menasha on January 2, 1926 to the late Oscar and Viola (Wagner) Schuerer. Millie was united in marriage on June 14, 1947 to Thomas W. Verbrick, her high school classmate, SMHS Class of 1943 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. She was a bookkeeper at First National Bank, retiring in 1989. Millie will be remembered for her gracious manner, sense of humor, and selfless generosity. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, bowling, playing cards and being a grandmother. Millie is survived by her children: Barbara (David) Swain, Jean Verbrick, Thomas (Connie) Verbrick, John Verbrick; her grandchildren: Daniel Swain, Erin Verbrick (Brett) Roth, Emily Verbrick (Drew) Raimer, and Nicholas Verbrick; special friends and in-laws, Helen and Clarence Lotzer, Jr., niece, Jennifer (Matt) Smith; sisters-in-law: Margaret Jahnke, Betty Schuerer, Rosalind Schuerer, and Shirley Verbrick; nieces, nephews and friends. Millie was also preceded in death by her husband Tom; grandson Michael; brothers Hans, Robert and Thomas Schuerer and sister, Mary Schuerer. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street, Menasha. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the hour of the Mass at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in the Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Sign the guest book and light a candle in memory of Millie on the funeral home website. The family wishes to extend a thank you to Millie's devoted caregivers and Chaplain Herb from Matthews Senior Living Care in Neenah; special friend, Virginia Steidel and Hospice nurse, Heather.
