Douglas (Doug) E. Potratz, 74, Neenah, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2007, at his residence. Doug was born on May 12, 1932, in Neenah, son of the late Douglas and Mary (Zellner) Potratz. On Aug. 23, 1952, Doug married Ruth Lemke at St. Margaret Mary's Church in Neenah. Doug liked to hunt and fish. He was a member of the National Guard for several years and also a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Doug is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Kathryn Nowland, Cuba, Mo.; Diane (Richard Pettit) Hulsey, Floissant, Mo.; a son, Daniel Potratz, San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Mary Huhn; a brother, James (Ann) Potratz; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Huhn. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah, with Father Richard Allen officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Doug's name. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Theda Care at Home Hospice! A special thank you to Richard for allowing Diane to be with her family these last few months!
