  Aletta E. VanEnkevort, De Pere and of Lakewood, passed away early Tuesday morning March 30, 2004, at the age of 89. She was born Nov. 6, 1914, in Ashwaubenon to the late John and Anna (Anderson) Thompson. On Feb. 20, 1933, she was united in marriage to James VanEnkevort. After James died in 1981 Aletta made her home with Judy and Bob for several years and then with Donna and Tom until she moved to Rennes Health Center. Aletta enjoyed watching wildlife, whether it is birds or deer. Survivors include her children; Jenny (Raymond) Roffers, Judy (Robert) Lewins, Lauren (Thomas) Van Gheem, and Donna (Thomas) Garvey. One daughter in law Mary VanEnkevort, one stepson in law Bernard Harrison and family. 35 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. Her special sister Mildred (Clarence) Schunck. one sister in law Rose Van De Hei, two brothers in law Robert Van De Zande, and William (Grace) Baldwin. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband James, two sons Clayton and Harlan, a stepdaughter Marion, four grandchildren, one sister, one brother and one sister in law. Members of James family further preceded her in death. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2004, at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church De Pere, until the mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Conrad Kratz O.Praem as the celebrant and Fr. Jerome Pastors as the concelebrant. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Rennes Health Center, Dr. James Jerzak, Fr. Conrad Kratz, Fr. Larry Seidl, and Fr. Jerome Pastors.
