  Keyser, Irene C. (Strebel) Irene C. (Strebel) DeKeyser, 94, Green Bay, died peacefully Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was born July 14, 1912, in Bay Settlement to the late Michael and Minnie Strebel. On May 3, 1941, Irene married Jerome (Jerry) DeKeyser. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1993. Irene will be remembered for her love of sewing, gardening and growing flowers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Phyllis DeKeyser, Ashwaubenon; her daughter, Sandra Pfeiffer, Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, her parents, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Myrtle Strebel, Arthur and Ellen Strebel, Henry and Mabel Strebel, Edward and Irene Strebel, Fred Strebel, Donald and Irene Strebel, and Alvin Strebel; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Delia and Paul Caelwarts, Julia and Jim Basten, Evelyn and Bill Streckenbach, Mary Ann and Mike Arnoldi. Friends may call Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family. The family of Irene C. (Strebel) DeKeyser wishes to thank the caring staffs of St. Mary's Hospital, Woodside Assisted Living, and San Luis Medical and Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion they showed to our mother.
