  Helen L. Witt, age 95, of Appleton, passed away early Sunday, October 05, 2014. She was born on January 24, 1919 in Appleton to the late Herman and Lanie (Panzenhagen) Schabo. On September 2, 1937, she married Lloyd Witt, who preceded her in death on May 26, 1989. Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and until very recently, mowing the lawn. She enjoyed watching the Packers play and playing card games, like Rummy and two person Solitaire. She is survived by her children; Ronald (Myrna) Witt, Sherry Bain, Jim Witt and Chuck (Peggy) Witt, 10 grandchildren; Jeff (Kelly) Witt, Jerry (Carrie) Witt, Bruce Witt, Stephanie (Mike) Theobald, Lisa Schradie, Scott (Kim) Bain, Tracey (Mark) Steinbach, Joanne (Tim) Hartjes, Jennifer Witt and Amanda (Jeffrey) Mohr, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Helen is further survived by sisters in law; Ethel Schabo and Bernice Schabo, brother in law, Donald Witt as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd, her brothers; Harry Schabo, Bob (Gladys) Schabo, Lester Schabo and Howard (Millie) Schabo, sister in law, Margaret Witt and brother in law, Richard (Norma) Witt. Funeral services for Helen will be held at 11:00AM, on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, N3505 Hwy 47, Appleton with Rev. Jeffrey Suhr and Rev. Micah Martin officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St, Appleton and again Wednesday morning from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church.
