  Mr. Andrew G. Smith Route 3, Appleton Age 86, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday after a long illness. He was born June 30, 1886 in Shawano and lived in Pickerel until his marriage. He lived in Appleton for 9 years, moved to Koepnick, Wis. where he remained for 5 years until moving to Pearson. Since 1943 he had lived in the Appleton area where he retired from the Consolidated Water and Power Co m 1957. Mr. Smith was a World War I Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife. Rose Wachlin Smith: two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (June) Wichman, Route 2. Black Creek; Mrs. Elmer (Donna) Vanden Bloom- er, Route 4, De Pere; two sons, Roy , Keewauskum; Eugene Route 1, Black Creek; 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Thursday from the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Black Creek, with the Rev. Frederic H. Zarling officiating. Interment will take place in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may Home from 3 until 9 p.m. call at the Wichmann Funeral Wednesday and after 8 a.m. on Thursday until 9 a m . and then at the church after 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
