  Stephen Kappell 1/17/1947 9/28/1965 Post Crescent 10/20/1965 D 8 From Kaukauna Times dated 10/22/1965 Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's church this morning for Stephen Kappell, 18, and burial will be in the parish Cemetery. Stephen, described by friends and neighbors as a "Clean cut all American boy", was the victim of a mysterious tragedy at Oshkosh, where he had entered the university this fall and was a candidate for the freshman football team. Kaukauna residents were shocked to learn that the body found in Lake Winnebago last Saturday, with ankles and knees bound and a 30 pound stone tied to it were identified at the state lab as he has. He had been reported missing from his dormitory in Oshkosh since last Tuesday.
