  Deceased Name: Marcella K. Young Menasha Age 96, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. Marcella was born October 30, 1904, in Menasha, daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Hussey) Krablean. She married Howard C. Young, and they had been married 64 years before his death on May 19, 1990. She worked in the kitchen at Gilbert Paper Co. for many years. Marcella was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha, and prior to her illness was involved in many church activities. She loved knitting and crocheting and was a great cook. Marcella is survived by three sons, Richard (Darline) of Menasha Kenneth (Marlene) of Neenah, and Robert (Barbara) of Pound, Wis. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Toni, Kathy, Maureen, Danny Kristy, Kim, Kirk and Todd 15 great-grandchildren five great-great-grandchildren four sisters-in-law, Mabel, Violet, Jane and Charlotte. Marcella was preceded in death by a grandchild, David Young five brothers, Clarence, Art, Frederick, Edward and Harold and two sisters, Helen and Frieda. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2001, 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Roy Geenen officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m., and also at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.

  Description: MENASHA - Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Young, 223 Garfield Ave., observed their, 50th wedding anniversary Sunday with a service at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a family dinner at the Labor Temple. The former Marcella Krablean and Young were married in that church Aug. 25, 1925. Both were employed by Gilbert Paper Company from1 which Mrs. Young retired in 1964 and Young in 1970 after more than 44 years with the company. The couple has three children, Richard and Robert, in Menasha and Kenneth, Neenah. There are eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
