  Elizabeth "Bette" J. Smits, age 85 of Clintonville in the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County passed away Friday morning February 22, 2013 at the Shawano Medical Center. Survivors include: Her husband of 62 years: Leland Smits, Clintonville. Her Children: Leanne (James) Olds, Madison. Gary (Diane) Smits, Clintonville. Amy (Randy) VanDenHeuvel, Maryville, TN. Patrick (Lisa) Smits, Green Bay. 7 Grandchildren: Kris Olds, Matthew (Heather) Olds, Jennifer VanDenHeuvel, Amber (Ben) Garrity, Rachel (Fiance Christopher Heinen) Smits, Luke & Austin Smits. 3 Great-Grandchildren: Madison Marlee Olds, Paige Marie Garrity, & Harper Joy Olds. Also 3 Sisters-in-Law: Mary Lou Kispert, Hazel Thomas, & Lilamae (Elvin "Swede") Swenson, all of Green Bay. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Clarence "Buddy", Eugene Jr., and Jack Kispert, brothers-in-law; Ed Thomas, Donald McDaniel, and Ray (Lorraine) Smits, and a sister-in-law; Evelyn (Louis) Sparr. A memorial service will be held for Bette on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 3 PM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with St. Rose Catholic Church Parish Director Lincoln Wood officiating.
