  David James Rothe, 54, New London, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Dave was born Sept. 4, 1953, in Appleton, son of the late Eugene and Marilyn (Helm) Rothe. He was a graduate of Appleton West High School. Dave was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, his dogs, working on his land and riding his Harley. He is survived by his brother, Steve (Irene) Rothe, New London; niece, Barb (Wayne) Miller, Appleton; nephew, Dan Rothe, Appleton; great-niece, Natalie Miller; great-nephew, Trent Miller; special friend, Lou Keddell, Menasha; good buddy, "Rosco" and his family. Further survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel with Deacon Patrick Whitcomb officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral chapel on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
