  Kobussen, James A. "Koby", James Kobussen, 62, Kaukauna, died after a brief illness, Thursday, September 4, 2008, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born May 7, 1946, in Appleton, son of Harvey F. and Helen M. (Pennings) Kobussen. Mr. Kobussen was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks, where he also played the organ for many years. James was employed at Neenah Foundry as a security officer until his retirement. He also was previously employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital Emergency Room as an EMT for many years. James enjoyed animals, especially his cat Tootsie. He was a good artist who also loved photography. James is survived by his mother, Helen Kobussen Dutkievic, Kaukauna; a brother, Eugene Kobussen, Kaukauna; good friend, Steve Biever, Kimberly; cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Kobussen and a sister, Ellen Marie Kobussen. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home with Frs. James Lucas and Robert Vandenberg officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. A memorial has been established.
