  Agnes Koehler, 87, Appleton, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, after a lengthy struggle with dementia. She was born June 8, 1921, in Alma Center, daughter of August and Hildegard (Capaul) Koehler. Agnes was married to Bernie Van Eperen for 37 years, and he preceded her in death February 2008. Agnes was employed as a realtor in Appleton until 1979 when she moved to California. She enjoyed oil painting and gardening. Agnes is survived by her children: David (Paula) Van Eperen, Winchester; Shari Pickett, Cardiff, CA; Gary (Sheri) Van Eperen, Appleton; grandchildren: Shane (Kerry) Pickett, Pleasanton, CA; Tammy Pickett, Appleton; Tara (Chad) Waldorf, New Richmond; Wendy (Dan) DaDalt, Petaluma, CA; Dana Van Eperen, Superior, CO; Jill Van Eperen, St. Paul, MN; Troy Van Eperen, Appleton; five great-grandchildren: Keagan, Will, Meghan, Olivia and Dominic; a sister, Arlene Blanchard, CA; special friend, Gary Harrison, Oceanside, CA. Agnes was also preceded in death by a sister, Florence (Floyd) Dickinson, two brothers: Gerald and George, brother-in-law, Gale Blanchard. A private graveside ceremony will be held in Alma Center, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, donations in Agnes' name may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 2900 Curry Ln., Suite A, Green Bay, WI, 54311.
