  Thomas H. Verkuilen, 70, Suamico, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015. He was born in Wausau on Dec. 20, 1944 to the late Henry and Ethel (Belling) Verkuilen. Thomas served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965 when he was honorably discharged. He lived and raised his family in various Wisconsin cities. Thomas was employed at Kimberly Clark in Neenah for more than 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his family, friends and especially his grandkids and dogs. Survivors include Peggy Eckrich; his sons, Scott (Carol) Verkuilen; Paul Verkuilen; daughters, Tammy (Lyle) Thomas; Heidi (Jason) Wilcox; grandchildren, Kyra and Justin Verkuilen; Tyler and Emma Thomas; Sydney and Lauren Wilcox; sisters, Mary (Jack) Smith; Sue (Mike) Treviranus; sister-in-law, Rose Ann Verkuilen. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gerald Verkuilen. A private family service will be held at a later date.
