  Erwin L. Hanson, age 90, of Weyauwega, died on Friday, June 22, 2012 at his home. He was born on October 21, 1921, in Appleton, the son of the late Harry and Ellen (Donahue) Hanson. Ernie married Dorothy Rohloff in Appleton, on June 12, 1948. She preceded him in death on March 15, 1983. He later married Angela Burzynski, and she also preceded him in death. Ernie farmed his entire life in the Town of Lind and the Town of Weyauwega. He was currently a member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield. He was a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Weyauwega, where he had served on the church council. He also served as the assessor for the Town of Weyauwega for many years. Ernie enjoyed playing cards, travelling, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his uncanny ability to accomplish anything he set out to do. Ernie is survived by two sons, Larry (Special friend, Patti Tilley), and Mark, both of Weyauwega; three step-sons, Lawrence (Lynn) Burzynski, Charles Burzynski, and John (Katherine) Burzynski; two step-daughters, Maryann (Brian) DeRoche and Claudia (Ronald) Kirmsse; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Mary; three brothers, Floyd, Wayne and Leslie Hanson; a sister, Juanita Knuth; two step-children, Roberta (Jack) Boblich and Theodore Burzynski. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, N6412 State Rd. 49, West Bloomfield. Rev. David Meier will officiate. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, West Bloomfield. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Published in Appleton Post-Crescent on June 24, 2012
