  Maree "Babe" Elizabeth Horton, age 83, of Appleton, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Peabody Manor. Babe was born in Appleton on April 21, 1929 to the late George and Lillian (Glander) Sylvester. In 1950, she was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Horton. The couple enjoyed 46 years together until Dick's death in 1996. Babe worked at Zwicker Knitting Mill for 43 years. She was a member at First English Lutheran Church where she volunteered for many years. She is survived by Steve (Colleen) Carrow, Anthony Carrow II, Craig (Becky) Carrow, Robin Sylvester, Tracey (Al) Dell, Kelley (Donald) Carpenter and many great nieces and nephews. Special friend Clarence Korth and special friend Karen Seefeldt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles Sylvester and sister, Lillian Carrow. A funeral service will take place at 11 am Saturday, January 19, at the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park. There will be no visitation. Entombment will follow.
