  Lillian Carrow, 83, Appleton, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Manorcare in Appleton. Lillian was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Appleton, to the late George and Lillian (Glander) Sylvester. She worked for many years at Outagamie County Health Care Center and at Zwicker Knitting Mill in Appleton. On Sept. 20, 1945, Lillian was united in marriage to Anthony "Tony" Carrow in Appleton. The couple enjoyed 55 years together until his death in May of 2000. She was very active throughout the years with the Lady Elks Club at Appleton Lodge #337, serving as past president, as well as heading up many Lodge functions. Lillian was a member at First English Lutheran Church in Appleton. She enjoyed watching Brewers baseball and her many years at the Appleton Elks Club. Survivors include her three sons, Steve (Colleen) Carrow, Greenville; Chip (special friend, Lisa) Carrow, Appleton; and Craig (Becky) Carrow, Appleton; seven grandchildren, Stevie, Tana, Jacob, Ashley, T. J., Jamie (special friend, Cedric) and Jenny, all of Appleton; her great-granddaughter, Sayvon Shorter; one sister, Maree "Babe" Horton, Appleton; and sister-in-law, Loretta Carrow, Omaha, Neb. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony; and her brother, Chuck Sylvester. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at the Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton, with the Rev. George Detweiler officiating. Friends may call directly at the chapel Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
