  Aileen L. Laib, age 95, New London, passed away on Monday, December 01, 2008, at St. Joseph Residence. Aileen was born in Shiocton, on June 7, 1913, daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Voight) Lemke Sr. She was a longtime educator in the area. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London. Aileen will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her four children: Clara (Steve) Caruso; Maxine Laib, Suzanne Wendt, Henry Laib; grandchildren: Bianca Caruso, Paul (Rosemari) Caruso, Joseph (Alejandra) Caruso, Nicole (Dennis) Still, Alexandra (John) VanderWilt, and Spencer Wendt; and nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Aileen is preceded in death by her husband, Max (1978), parents, four brothers, three sisters, nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held for Aileen on Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Floral Hill Cemetery in New London with Rev. Brian Hennig officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emanuel Lutheran School. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire caring staff at St. Joseph Residence.
