  Dennis A. Schmidt, age 61, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. He was born on December 30, 1946, son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Doerfler) Schmidt. Dennis loved listening to music and playing Bingo. He served in the Unites States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Graphic Packaging for over 30 years. Dennis is survived by; his brother, Bob (Doris) Schmidt of Neenah. Nephews and Niece: Michael J. Schmidt, James (Joann) Schmidt, Tom (Renee) Schmidt, and Linda (Jeff) Sell. He is further survived by his special friend, Linda Schmidt. Godson; Shawn Buelow, along with numerous cousins and friends, especially Jim (Ellen) Conway, and his dog Sassy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard. A funeral service for Dennis will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008, at Valley Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
