  Family History Researcher	Much of this comes directly from - "Der Lutheraner" December 11 and 25, 1900 Johannes Rennicke Born 1/25/1826 Capseden, Government of Kurland, Russia Died 7/12/1900 Buried at Lutheran Church Wayside, WI Wife Spohia Jan Rennicke, she is the daughter of Gottfried Jahn. Gottfried was born 1799 Reichstadt, Saxony, Germany Died 1889 buried at Trinity Lutheran Church - Altenburg, MO His wife was Dorothea born 1798. Gottfried's children were Justine, Sophia, Christinia and Frederich. Gottfried entered the country in 1839 via New Orleans and settled in Perry County Missouri. He was one of the original founders of the Lutheran Churches in America. At time of entry Gottfried was 39, Dorothea was 41, Justine was 14, Sophia was 8, Christina was 6 and Friedrich was 4. His occupation is listed as Shoemaker. Sophia married Johannes Rennicke. Sophia was born 7/17/1830 and died 2/02/1914, she is also buried at the Lutheran Church in Wayside, WI where Johannes was the pastor. They had the following children: Martin 2/11/1852-7/08/1934, Christine Rennicke Schatz 8/18/1855-4/?/1935, Gustave 5/23/1857-9/22/1934, Edward 10/01/1859-1/05/1914, Henry 7/15/1862-4/17/1928, Constantine 9/08/1863-10/15/1947, Elizabeth Rennicke Frosch 6/18/1869-11/17/1938. I have a copy of her obituary and a photo. Johannes and Sophia were my Great Great Grandparents. Daughter Elizabeth married George Frosch 11/18/1867-3/29/1922 most likely in Wayside, WI. They had 4 children one of which was Myron Frosch 11/16/1897-11/13/1978. One of Myron's sons was Howard Frosch who is my father. Michael Frosch I have a great deal of information on this side of the family including photo copies of baptism records and other documents. Please contact if you are interested.
