  Rothe, Doris N (Goffard) 92, Appleton, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 surrounded by her family. Doris was born April 15, 1924 to the late Leonard and Elizabeth (Janz) Goffard. On March 23, 1943 she married the late Lawrence Rothe. They lived in Appleton raising their 10 children for 71 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Christian Mother's Society and Homemakers of America. She loved spending time with her 24 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking her famous banana bread and BBQ chicken. She was so unselfish and patient with all who knew her. She will be so missed by her children: Bernadette Arps; Patricia (Mike) Guyette; Lawrence Jr. (Julia; Sueann Rothe; Michael (Jeannie); Deborah (Mike) Plante; Timothy (Judy); David (Robin); Cynthia (Rick) Harp and Joseph and special friend, Laura. Doris spent her last years at the Bridges of Appleton where she had nicknames like grandma and beautiful lady. She was spoiled by all the staff as well as her family. We thank them all for their loving care. A Mass of Resurrection for Doris will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 9 - 11 AM Wed. in the Sacred Heart Room at Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established.
