  Carol L. Griesbach, 72, Hortonville, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009, at Cherry Meadows Hospice following a brief illness. She was born on July 4, 1936, in Fremont, daughter of the late Elmer & Bethel (Freihart) Zeichert. She married Jerome Griesbach. He preceded her in death in 1996. Carol was a loving mother and grandmother. She was very family orientated and loved to cook, bake and garden. She was a longtime dedicated member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mary (Robert) Wangeline, New London, Sue (Steve) Kostka, White Bear Lake, MN, Sandy (Tony) Thorne, Grants Pass, OR. One son, Stephen (Kim) Griesbach, Wild Rose. She is further survived by three grandchildren, Michele, Michael and Joey. Besides her husband and parents, Carol was preceded in death by a sister Ramona. The Funeral Mass for Carol will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Fr. James Feely and Parish Director Greg Layton officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Concordia Cemetery in West Bloomfield. A Memorial Fund has been established for SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Cherry Meadows Hospice.
