  Luedtke, Betty J. (nee Hammond) Betty J. Luedtke (nee Hammond), 66, Appleton, passed away Sunday morning, June 28, 2009, at the Appleton Health Care Center. Betty was born on June 8, 1943, to Clark and Helen (Pelky) Hammond in Bear Creek. She was married to the late Bud Smith and the late Don Luedtke. Betty was a long time member of the Moose Lodge and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Betty is survived by her mother, Helen Guyette; brothers and sister: Shirley Willems, Appleton; Donald (Elonda) Hammond, Appleton; Roger Hammond, Stevensville; Ed (Jane) Hammond, Appleton; Dave (Jean) Hammond, Appleton; Clark (Betty) Hammond, Greenville; an Aunt, Selma Krueger, Nichols; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her father, her husbands and one sister Joan Ritschke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence St., with Father Larry Abler officiating. Friends may call on July 2, 2009, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Theda Care Hospice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Theda Care Hospice and the Appleton Health Center.
