Melvin J. Kriplean, 92, of Kaukauna, formerly of Little Chute, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015. He was born on November 20, 1923, son of the late John and Suzanna (Mayer) Kriplean. Melvin married Rose Ann Kettleson on November 9, 1944. He was the founder of Kriplean Construction and was a contractor for many years. In his free time, Melvin was an avid fisherman, but most importantly, he was a strong family man. Melvin is survived by his children: Luann Kriplean, Clint (Susan) Kriplean and Jane (Robert) Fuller; a daughter-in-law, Jane Kriplean; grandchildren: David Lappen, Heather Alix, Renee Kriplean, Sara Wouters, Brett Kriplean, Catherine Kriplean, Spencer Kriplean and Dana Schommer; great grandchildren: Kori, Ella, Rose, Violet and Lily; a great great granddaughter, Lillian; a sister, Estelle (Andy) Borg; a brother, Russell (Corrine) Kriplean; and many nieces, nephews and members of Rose's family. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; his parents; sons: Robert and Raymond; a daughter, Nancy. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.
