  Riehl, Vernon A. Vernon A. Riehl, age 71, of Black Creek, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009, at his home. He was born January 2, 1938, in Black Creek, son of the late Aaron and Ethel (Schroeder) Riehl. On September 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to Alice Springstroh in Freedom. Vernon was a U.S. Marine veteran and farmed in the Town of Black Creek. He was also a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Appleton. He is survived by his wife, Alice; two daughters: Penny Riehl, Appleton; Annie (Terry) Huss, Black Creek; three grandchildren: Reid, Drew, and Ross; three sisters: Beverly (Phil) Ziegler, Appleton; Mary (Glen) Vick, Appleton; Roxanne (Steve) Rudolph, Black Creek; five brothers: Don (Lillian) Riehl, Nevada; Lee (Jeanne) Riehl, Hortonville; Ron (Terri) Riehl, Seymour; Mark (Teresa) Riehl, Black Creek; John (Diane) Riehl, Black Creek. Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Vernon was preceded in death by a daughter Elizabeth, son Greg, and his parents. Friends may call at Bethany Lutheran Church, 530 W. Parkway, Appleton, on Saturday, June 6, 2009, from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Henke officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
