  Ethel O Kaphingst age 80 passed away on Monday January 7, 2008 at St Elizabeths Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She was born in the Town of Greenville on October 20, 1927 daughter of the late John and Adela (Bork) Schroeder. Ethel was united in marriage to Roland Kaphingst on May 8, 1948. She worked at the Power Company before her marriage. Ethel was a very active member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton. She enjoyed gardening, canning and going to the cottage or anywhere else she and her husband would travel. Survivors include her children: Dennis (Shari) Kaphingst of Appleton, Gloria (Neil) Wood of Brown Deer, Cheryl (Steve) Lenz of Pardeeville and David Kaphingst of Appleton; four grandchildren: Ryan, Joshua (Melissa), Dana Kaphingst, Joseph Wood; a great grandson Brody; two sisters: Doris Voigt of Menasha and Frances (Franklin) Roesler of Dale. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, a sister and many in-laws. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday January 10, 2008 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church on the corner of Morrison and Franklin. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 10, 2008 from 12:00PM until the time of service at the Church and on Wednesday January 9, 2008 from 5:00-7:00PM at Valley Funeral Home.
