  Mary Ellen Kieckhaefer (german spelling) was born on February 28, 1865 in Jackson Twp, Washington Co, Wisconsin. She was the daughter Of Charles (Carl) & Lydia Kickhafer. She married Francis 'Frank' Steffen in 1889. She had four sons and four daughters with Frank Steffen between the years 1891 and 1908, some of which are listed below. She passed away on Sep 1, 1928 at the age of 62 and was laid to rest near her husband Frank who had died just 3 years earlier.(Bio by Gene Stephan)
