  Emma H. Trettin - Word has been received of the death of Miss Emma H. Trettin, Vista, Calif., formerly of St. Paul. She died Saturday in a nursing home at El Cajon, Calif. Her body will be cremated Tuesday in Vista. Miss Trettin was office manager of the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, for 45 years. She lived in St. Paul most of her life and left here a few years after she retired 10 years ago. A member of several organizations, Miss Trettin was most active and held several chairmanships in the St. Paul Zonta club. St. Paul Dispatch, St. Paul, Mn., 1 August 1960, p. 13. Notes from the Zonta Club at the MN. Historical Society, Microfilm #496, Vol. 1, September 1960 minutes: "Following copy of letter from Walter O. Trettin (brother of our little Emmie Trettin): "Your floral tribute of white orchid and pink gladioli was a beautiful expression of your remembrance of a loyal Zontian. The many cards sent by members during Emma's final illness were most comforting to her and for that we are grateful. Emma's passing was peaceful and her final illness, dating from May 17, was generally without pain. The funeral service was simple as she desired and interment of the ashes will be in Oakland Cemetery. Our thanks to you.""
