  Death has again entered our midst taking with it Mrs. Lawrence P. Head of North Stockbridge, who passed away Wednesday morning. Etta J. Lucia was born Jan. 19th, 1868, at Flintville, Wis., having reached the age of 51 years, 7 months and 8 days, at the time of her death. She was married at that place to Lawrence P. Head, the union being blessed with three sons, Orville, Clayton and Irvin, all of whom survive her. After their marriage they look up their residence at Bessemer, Mich., where they lived two years and then moved to Ashland. They made their home at Ashland for thirteen years and then lived in Hayward two years. In 1904 they purchased the farm on the Stockbridge and Sherwood town line where they have since made their home. Mrs. Head has been in poor health since their home was destroyed by fire two years ago, the shock affecting her mentally. Up to about two months ago she was cared for in a sanitarium and since coming home her health has failed rapidly. Mrs. Head was a woman of excellent qualities and of good education, being a school teacher before her marriage. She was an affectionate wife and mother and very ambitious for her family's welfare. Besides her husband and the three sons previously named she also leaves four brothers, Charles and George Lucia of Pulaski, Ervin Lucia of Nelson, British Columbia, and Will Lucia of Hurley, Wis., and one sister, Mrs. E. A. Dunham of California. The funeral will be held at Stockbridge. Chilton Times - August 30, 1919
