  Christian Zittlow, Born 8-26-37, in Doelitz, Province Pomrenia, Germany, where he was baptized and confirmed. In 1856 he came at the age of 24 years together with his mother and brothers to America and made his home on a farm in the town of Lawrence. In 1861 he entered matrimony with Miss Rosina Schroeder and lived on the farm 37 years. Having sold his farm he came to Wrightstown as a retired farmer and lived he in our midst for 23 years. Six weeks ago his wife preceded him in death. He passed away at 6 pm on Dec. 14, at the age of 84 years, 3 mo. and 16 days. His death is mourned by one son, 6 grandchildren, many friends and relatives. The burial took place on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 18, at 2 o'clock from the house and then from St. John's Lutheran church, Re. F.C. Uetzmann officiated. Interment was at the local Lutheran Cemetery. The pallbearers were M. Meyer, W. Bohn, J. Schaeuble, F. Koepke, F. Kersten and G. Feldt.
