  Schaffer, Thomas J. Thomas J. Schaffer, 70, Fort Myers, Florida formerly of Kaukauna passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 20, 2011. Tom was born in Appleton on July 29, 1940, the son of Arthur and Evelyn Schaffer. Tom is an alumni of Appleton West High School and UW-Whitewater. He enjoyed his teaching career and the many friends he made at Kaukauna High School. Tom is survived by his daughters, Dawn Schaffer, Chicago, IL; Paula Vandehey, Appleton, WI; Sara Biese, Kaukauna, WI; Laurie Henning, Jackson, WI; Karen Schaffer, DePere, WI; Jackie Gillis, Sherwood, WI; and son, Kevin Schaffer, Freedom, WI. He is also survived by his dear friend Isabel Costanzo, Fort Myers, FL. Tom was preceded in death by his son, Alex Schaffer and parents, Arthur and Evelyn. In honor of Tom's wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Tom's name has been established.
