  Bart Goerl, 52, of Freedom, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, June 8, 2012. Bart was born on December 24, 1959 to Ralph and Sharon (Limberg) Goerl in Appleton. Bart was an avid hunter and fisher and was at home in the outdoors. He enjoyed his job at Shade Today and the many friends in his life. Bart is survived by his loving wife Pam, his children; Joel, Jesse and Julie (Adam Smith)Goerl, his siblings; Gina (Roger)Wiste, Ginger (Tom) Tralongo, Blaine (Pam) Goerl and Gemie (Mike) Kohler a special family friend Tammy Gardner, and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Bart was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Brett and brother-in-law Paul Miller. In keeping with Bart's wishes the family will hold a celebration of his life at his home on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 4 until 8:00 PM. A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center and Theda Care Hospice team for all their great care.
