  Christopher Henry Wolf, age 90, Hortonville passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, following a brief illness. Chris was born on December 14, 1923, in Appleton son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Hearden) Wolf. He graduated from Shiocton High in 1942. He proudly served in the US Army from 1943 - 1945; serving under the command of General Patton, Troop B 43rd CAV RCN SQ. On June 17, 1950, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Callan at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Stephensville. They shared 64 years together. Chris earned a degree in heating and sheet metal. He worked for Van Asten Heating and Sheet Metal and for Tweet-Garot until he retired in 1988. Chris enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and going to the casino. He also enjoyed playing sheepshead and cribbage with family and friends. Chris is survived by his wife Evelyn; his children: Sharon (Jack) Vissers, Appleton; Cindi (Stan) McFarlane, Sauk City; Gary (Patty) Wolf, Hortonville; Chuck (Deb) Wolf, Appleton; a brother, Don Wolf, Watertown. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren: Renee Vissers, Jason (Jen) Vissers, Ryan (LeAnn) Vissers, Jessica Olk (special friend, Jeff) , Tina (Craig) Van Camp, Josh (Mindy) Wolf, Jared Wille, Danielle Wille, Shannon Wolf (fiancee Justin), Shelby Wolf, Scott Wolf and Shaina Wolf; 9 great-grandchildren, Makayla, Jacob, Kya, Jaxson, Keegan, Mya, Jada, Casie, Preston; sister-in-laws, Carole Wolf and Ingrid Wolf and also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joe (Florence), John (Arlene), Sam (Carol) and Ken, sister-in-law, Bea, sister-in-law, Arlene (Bill) Jochman and brother-in-law, Lee (Rosie) Callan. Funeral Mass for Chris will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 11:00a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenville with Fr. Peter Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
